The Avatar of the Bloody-Handed God
Monday, 7 June, 2010I have been really productive lately, I finished Eldar Avatar in just one weekend. Well, it is only one model, but it is much larger than regular infantry, so I think getting it done in a weekend is pretty good.
I think the way I painted the model will raise different opinions from people. I liked the way my Fire Dragons (and yes, some Bloodletters long time ago) turned out with their burning armour, so I used the same effect with Avatar also. He is not just having a burning armour, but his whole body is molten metal, so there are enough reasons to paint him hot!
The model itself is not converted, although he does not have his hair; I bought the model second hand from internet, and I think he didn’t have it at all. Well, at least my Avatar is different now than most!
I tried to paint his loin-cloth white, but it didn’t work out. So, with some feedback and ideas from my wife, it ended up being red. Now Avatar and his tag-team partner Wraithlord have similar gear, so it works out fine.
Phew, not so many Eldar left anymore: 1,5 Harlequins, repainting Pathfinders’ guns and gems and a couple of tanks.
So here is the pic, and also some orks with new pics:
